ernie hartlieb

OWNER/ HOCKEY SKILLS COACH / RETIRED PRO HOCKEY PLAYER

Ernie Hartlieb is a former professional hockey player, who played college hockey at Miami of Ohio and received his BS degree there. During his 12 years as a pro, he played in the AHL and ECHL. During this time as a Pro, Hartlieb set many records and retired as the Captain of the Florida Everblades with his jersey in the rafters. Hartlieb spent much of high-level training on the skating treadmill along with focused Strength and Conditioning.  Ernie contributes his success and longevity of his career to the training tools he had access to, especially the skating treadmill that made him a quick and efficient skater.  Hartlieb brings his love for hockey and  his encouraging personality to all sessions at HEAT. With his knowledge and experience in the game,  athletes are given the opportunity to improve their skating and overall game performance, using the same tools in which Hartlieb says contributed to his success while creating a fun environment to level up.

HOCKEY SKILLS COACH/ RETIRED PRO HOCKEY PLAYER

Charles Linglet received his MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales and is a former professional hockey player. During his 17 years as a pro, his career took him all over the world and in many leagues including the NHL, AHL, ECHL, and KHL. During this time, Coach Charlie had the opportunity to learn and train with some of the best and most sought after strength and conditioning coaches from North America and Europe. Linglet's devotion and commitment to proper strength training is one of the main reasons he was able to play at a high level for so long. He is bringing his vast and extensive experience to HEAT to teach, train and coach athletes from every level who are looking to improve their performance.

MIKE CAREY, CSCS, CES, PES

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT SPECIALIST, CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SPECIALIST, STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SPECIALIST

Mike Carey is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and speed coach.  Carey believes in developing unique programs to push athletes to their fullest potential by encompassing a combination of mobility, speed, and strength.  After competing at a collegiate/pro level in football, he has learned that all athletes deserve a coach who sees their potential and supports their development. Carey prioritizes his relationships with his athletes and creates a fun training environment. If you want the 1% difference you will love his approach. He founded MIKE CAREY FIT in 2021 after spending years training athletes and joined the HEAT TEAM in 2023.

ALEX TRUBAN, CSCS

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SPECIALIST

Alex Truban is from Hamilton, NJ. He attended  Florida Gulf Coast University majoring in Exercise Science. After interning at HEAT in 2021, Truban graduated with his bachelor's and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Having played hockey since his youth, Coach Alex has a deep understanding of the biomechanics and physical demands the sport requires. Coach Alex aims to provide athletes with the personalized training needed to reach their true potential while enjoying the sport they love.

MIRANDA HARTLIEB

OWNER/SPORTS PERFORMANCE COACH

Miranda Hartlieb is a native of Naples, Florida and graduate of FGCU, majoring in Communication. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with several years of experience in both 1:1 and group training. She has spent many years in the hockey world commentating games and training her two sons, Hunter and Jaxson Hartlieb. She has been an active part of the SWFL Community, volunteering many hours with local charities, specifically with a passion for the Special Needs community. Miranda is passionate about helping her athletes develop in all aspects of their game, especially mental health. Her motto is " Be better Everday. As an Athlete. As a Human." She works with clients of all ages and levels but has a keen interest in developing the all-around athlete. Coach Miranda brings knowledge and many years of coaching high school sports and experience to HEAT to helping develop multi-sport athletes.

RYAN NUSSBAUM, CSCS, CPT

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SPECIALIST

Ryan Nussbaum earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from FGCU, where he interned at the FGCU Human Performance lab creating activities to enhance student learning, and X3 Performance where he worked with Professional and collegiate football and baseball players and the general population to aid in the delivery of athletic performance to clients. Ryan also holds his CSCS and CPT certifications from the NSCA and is pursuing his master’s degree in exercise science and Health promotion from FAU. Coach Ryan’s dedication to training was ignited during his pursuit of a professional hockey career. His commitment deepened during college, as he recognized the need for more supportive coaches. This realization motivated him to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others striving to achieve their athletic aspirations, fostering a sense of enjoyment in the journey of personal improvement.

JENNIFER ARROYO, LMT, MMP

RECOVERY SPECIALIST

Jennifer Arroyo is a licensed massage therapist (MA49504), essential oil educator, and wellness lifestyle coach.  She has been practicing massage therapy for over 14 years, working primarily in the spa industry at luxury resorts such as the Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt. Jennifer is passionate about helping others live well and experience joy in their everyday lives.  This genuine concern for the well-being of others and importance of longevity of athlete's careers combined with her attention to detail allows her to create customized experiences for each client based upon their specific health concerns and goals.

artie arroyo, LMT, MMP

RECOVERY SPECIALIST

Artie Arroyo is a Licensed Massage Therapist (MA54860) and the Co-Owner of Arroyo Health & Wellness, LLC with his wife Jennifer.    
Artie completed his Medical Massage Practitioner Certification in February of 2019 to address clients who have medically necessary massage treatment prescribed by their treating doctor.  He served on  The Hockey Summit's recovery team 2017-2019 during the July through August preseason camps providing recovery massage treatments to the athletes ranging from Jr. Hockey, College, Olympians, and European/US Professionals of ECHL/AHL and NHL. He is also served as a member of the recovery team for Belfry Hockey servicing  elite NHL players (2017-19) and select members of the U.S. and Canadian Olympic Women's Hockey teams in 2019.

As a doTerra Wellness Advocate he utilizes doTERRA essential oils in his treatment protocols for enhancing the overall health, performance and recovery of athletes and clients.
